Discover Luxury And Performance In The Audi Q7 | For Sale Near Prairieville

The Audi Q7 is an excellent midsize luxury SUV that can seat up to seven people. It has powerful performance and handling, top-shelf features and interior quality, and a fun lineup of technology. The Q7 went through a significant refresh in 2020 that updated a lot of its features and its design, and the 2021 model builds on that success with some additional features. If you want something luxurious with three rows of space and a lot going on under the hood, then the Audi Q7 should be at the top of your list.

Performance

There are a total of three engines that you can pick on the Q7. The base engine is a turbocharged four-cylinder that hits 248 horsepower. It gives you strong acceleration and power, so you really don't need to upgrade past it. The Q7 will feel a lot better than the typical SUV with the base engine alone. If, however, you do want a more forceful experience, then the next engine is a good choice. On the first two trims, it is an option, and on the third trim, it is standard.

An optional turbocharged V6 generates 335 horsepower with a small electric motor tied to it for a little extra power and lower gas consumption. This engine does kick things up and you will feel the difference right away. It's an engine with true muscle. If you want to take things to the next level, then the special Sq7 style has its own exclusive engine, which is a big turbo V8 that reaches 500 horsepower. That's on another level of power, and it does really change the driving experience for those people who are willing to take that specific design.

Trim Levels

When it comes to trims, the Q7 has a lineup in the Denham Springs area that is similar to that of some other Audi vehicles. The base trim is called the Premium, the second is the Premium Plus, and the third is the Prestige. If you want the SQ7, then it is available in the Premium Plus and Prestige. If you have looked at other new or used Audi vehicles, then you probably know that the Premium Plus is a great bet for most buyers, whether you are opting for the regular Q7 or SQ7.

The Premium has plenty of great features already, including:

  • Dual touchscreens
  • Virtual cockpit display
  • Bluetooth®
  • Smartphone connectivity
  • USB ports
  • Wi-Fi hotspot
  • Driver-assist safety features

The Plus takes the features from the Premium and adds on an upgraded sound system, enhanced phone connectivity, a new surround camera system, and a selection of more advanced packages. The Plus does not cost much more than the Premium. The Prestige trim contains the features from the lower trims, plus an upgraded engine and some unique elements like Valcona leather that you won't find on the lower trims, even in packages.

2020 Q7 Exterior

The 2020 Q7's design is updated for this year, and its ability to impart prestige, confidence, and function is continuing to grow on us.

Although its design is familiar those who have owned previous generations, the new iteration is more aggressive, with bolder lighting treatments, character lines, and hood creases. A power tailgate is standard on every trim, and available HD matrix-design headlights and LED tail lights offer excellent visibility on any road, in any weather condition.

Interior

Audi has put the most demanded luxury amenities front and center in even the base Q7. Leather upholstery, Audi MMI, a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, and 3-zone climate control are all compulsory in the well-laid out interior. Not only will you find all the necessary controls in easy reach, but a quiet ride, seating for seven, and the versatility to accommodate 71.6 cu-ft of cargo volume. On higher trim levels, the cabin can be further outfitted with Audi Connect with 4G LTE WiFi, and the gorgeous Virtual Cockpit instrument display.

Safety Features

Other premium three-row SUVs offer plenty of safety features, but in many cases, they require paying for them. The 2020 Q7, however, comes standard with Audi pre sense front and basic, which packages necessary systems like automatic emergency braking, pedestrian sensors, and collision warning. Moving up the trims gets you Audi side assist with pre-sense rear, with rear cross traffic alert and a unique system that warns of approaching cars when exiting. Top-shelf trims can be had with a Driver Assistance suite with adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and active lane assist, while a head-up display and top view camera come standard.

Engines and Performance

Every 2020 Q7 model comes standard with Quattro all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Two engines are available this year. Gonzales shoppers can choose the 3.0-liter supercharged V6 that produces 335 horsepower, 369 pound-feet of torque, and a best-in-class 7,700 lbs. max tow rating. There is also a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four that bolsters efficiency without sacrificing performance. With 248 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, it's plenty powerful, and rated to tow up to 4,400 lbs. New suspension and weight savings translates to a confident, plush, and surprisingly fun driving experience. When equipped with the optional Adaptive Air Suspension, comfort is further bolstered, while four-wheel steering cuts the Q7's turning circle by three feet. Additionally, this enables 2.4-inches of manually or automatically adjusted ride height flexibility.
